FAQ

frequently asked questions

  • Do you offer your services in all the resort of the island?
I offer my photography and videography services at most hotels in Bora Bora and am highly recommended by the most prestigious ones. However, some hotels are not ideal for a photoshoot (too small, lack of beautiful settings, etc.). In such cases, I will suggest an alternative to ensure you receive results that meet your expectations.
  • How many photos will I receive?
The number of images included depends on the package you choose. We offer a range of options starting from a one-hour session that includes 50 photos and more, tailored to your needs and the event.
  • Do you provide RAW files?
No. Since editing is a crucial part of the photography experience, delivering RAW images would be akin to a baker delivering raw ingredients on a wedding day instead of a fully baked and decorated cake. Every image you see on this website has been carefully processed to match my style and vision. When clients come across my work online, they know exactly what to expect if they book me to photograph their wedding: bright, vibrant, and colorful images.
  • How do you deliver the photos and what is your turnaround time?
After the photoshoot, I will use my expertise to pre-select and edit a large collection of photos. You'll then have the opportunity to choose your favorite images from this selection, based on the package you have chosen. If you find additional photos you love, there's always an option to upgrade your package. Once you've made your selections, the chosen photos will be available for download in high resolution within a day or two. You will receive your beautiful images through 'Pic_Time,' an online professional private gallery. I personally edit your photos because each photoshoot is unique, and I believe that photo editing should reflect these differences. While I strive to deliver your photos as quickly as possible, quality is my top priority. The maximum turnaround time is 3 weeks, but depending on my current workload, you might receive your photos even earlier!
  • What if it rains or the weathers too bad during the day of the photoshoot?
We are fortunate to be in a destination with over 300 days of sunshine per year, so don't worry too much about the weather when booking your photo session. That said, the weather in Bora Bora can be unpredictable and changeable, and online forecasts are often unreliable. I suggest scheduling your photoshoot at the beginning of your stay. This way, we have more flexibility to postpone the session to another day at no extra cost, subject to availability. If the day is cloudy but not rainy, the session will proceed as planned. Overcast conditions can actually provide very soft and flattering light, ideal for photography.
  • Can I choose the music for my film?
When choosing music for a video, consider copyright and licensing. Every piece has a composer, and using it without permission can lead to legal issues. Therefore, navigating licenses and permissions carefully is crucial. You can suggest music you like, but I cannot guarantee its use. Fortunately, many websites offer royalty-free music or provide options to acquire licenses for specific uses.
  • Do you offer drone services in Bora Bora?
Drone regulations are becoming stricter worldwide, especially in Bora Bora, the best-known island in French Polynesia. If you are not certified, you should be aware that flying your drone in Bora Bora is generally forbidden. While I do not personally offer drone services, I work with a team that includes certified drone pilots. This allows us to provide comprehensive project captures, including drone footage.
  • What is the best time of day for a photo or video shoot?
I prefer mornings and late afternoons. In the morning the lighting has high contrast, and all the colors look brighter and more saturated. It's the best time of day if you want to capture Bora Bora at its most beautiful, showcasing its shades of blue, lush vegetation, and more. In the afternoon before the sunset, the lighting is also great. The colors get a soft and golden tone, giving you a bit of a natural glow. Plus, you’ll have sunset on your pictures as well. Keep in mind that midday can be very hot and the sun can be quite intense.
  • Do you offer flying dress photoshoots?
Flying dress photoshoots have become very popular in recent years, and the results can be spectacular in a setting like Bora Bora. However, it's important to note that such a shoot is time-consuming and much more technical than a "classic" photoshoot. An assistant is essential to help the photographer make the dress fly, which will incur an additional cost. In summary, it is possible, but it is best to discuss the details together.
  • We would like to schedule a family photoshoot. Do you have any advice?
Sure! I regularly do family photoshoots, and Bora Bora is a kid-friendly destination where you’ll have a blast with your loved ones. Here are a few tips to help ensure we capture some wonderful photos: Talk to your children and explain what a photoshoot is and why it’s important to you. This will help them be more involved and cooperative. Choose the best time of day based on your children's routine (for example, avoid scheduling around nap times for young children). I recommend early morning or late afternoon to avoid the harsh midday sunlight. Bring along some stylish sunglasses just in case.
